Bespoke Finestrella
Marechiaro is a small hamlet in the Posillipo district of Naples. In 1885, the poet Salvatore Di Giacomo noticed a window on a building at the water's edge, a carnation on the sill, and wrote Marechiare, one of the most celebrated songs in the Neapolitan canon. That window still exists. A fresh carnation is still placed on the sill.
Two hand-stitched lines on the back of the hand, worked by Neapolitan artisans, form an outline that recalls the finestrella: two decisive marks tracing the frame of the window that became a song. Cashmere-lined. Hand-crafted in Naples.
The Bespoke Finestrella is crafted to order: colour from the full range, sizing to hand measurements. The two stitched lines, unchanged. The colour and the fit, specific to the hand that will wear it.
