Take two measurements on your dominant hand. Measurement A: hand length from the base of your palm to the tip of your middle finger. Measurement B: palm circumference at the level of your knuckles, excluding the thumb. Sizes range from XS (glove size 6.5, A: 15-15.5 cm, B: 17 cm) to XL (glove size 8.5, A: 19-19.5 cm, B: 23 cm). If the two measurements suggest different sizes, choose the larger one. A slightly snug fit is correct: leather molds to your hand over time and will become more comfortable with wear.

Pure cashmere provides the highest warmth for the least bulk and is the best choice for cold weather. Cashmere-wool blends are nearly as warm and slightly more hardwearing. Silk lining adds minimal insulation but makes gloves effortless to put on and off, making it ideal for formal styles. Unlined gloves are suited to driving or mild weather and are not designed for warmth.

After each wear, reshape the gloves gently and store them flat or lightly stuffed with tissue paper. Wipe the surface with a soft dry cloth to remove dust. For deeper cleaning, use a specialist leather cleaner applied sparingly. Condition the leather once or twice a season to keep it supple. Never machine wash, tumble dry, or leave near direct heat or sunlight. If the gloves get wet, reshape and allow to dry naturally at room temperature.

The lining, particularly cashmere or silk, tends to show wear first.
